Over 500 Signatures Reached
Nearly 600 people have signed the petition to end water fluoridation in Toronto after just two weeks since the campaign was launched! We are well on our way to stopping this unethical practice! Other Ontario cities have recently stopped fluoridating their water. In 2010 Waterloo stopped adding hydrofluorosilicic acid to their community water supply after 50.3% of referendum voters said no to fluoridation. Waterloo had been fluoridating their water for 44 years. In January of 2013, Windsor city council decided to do the same after a vote of 8-3 in favour of stopping fluoridation. Windsor had been fluoridating their water for over 50 years.
On September 21st hundreds of Torontonians plan to peacefully assemble to let it be known that they do not want toxic hydrofluorosilicic acid added to Toronto's water supply. Let's hope that Toronto will follow behind these other Ontario cities and end their 50 year long practice of water fluoridation.
