Fluoride Chemical Used in Toronto Tap Water Contaminated With Arsenic

Hydrofluosilicic Acid (fluoride) purchases marked as severe hazardous

After reviewing a 2015/2016 Freedom of Information Act docket I received from Toronto's City Clerk's office on Hydrofluosilicic Acid (fluoride) purchases, an incredibly disgusting observation was made. The chemical used to fluoridate Toronto's water supply, Hydrofluosilicic Acid, purchased from Brenntag Canada, ControlChem Canada Ltd., and produced by Mosaic Company's Riverview facility in Florida, is contaminated with arsenic. See for yourself:

Not just this batch, every single batch. Our Toronto tap water is filtered, and then this disgusting hazardous waste contaminated with arsenic and other poisons is added to our drinking water.

Don't worry though, it's just a little bit of poison and oh so good for your teeth.

From ControlChem Canada's documentation from the full FOIA request, Hydrofluosilicic Acid has the following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Classification:

E- Corrosive. DIA - Very Toxic Material Causing Immediate and Serious Toxic Effects. D2A - Very Toxic Material Causing Other Toxic Effects.

And the following Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS) Ratings:

Health: 4 Flammability: 0, Reactivity: I. Personal Protection: X

An HMIS rating of 4 is the highest level and is considered "Severe."

From Mosaic's "quality" certificates, arsenic is present in every batch of hydrofluosilicic acid and ranges from 30-62.5 PPM.

Are you listening?

The chemical Toronto is using to fluoridate your water is contaminated with arsenic and is added after the water is filtered.

Time to wake up. Time to stand up to the tyranny of evil men and women who "represent" you but have never taken the time to review the truth for themselves.

Call and email your Toronto City Councillor and let them know our drinking water is not a hazardous waste garbage dump. Let them know that their deferral to any Medical Officer of Health is not good enough.

It is time for our "representatives" to take responsibility. I will be sharing this information with every Toronto City Councillor to ensure they are all aware in case the lawsuit moves ahead in Toronto.
